Last Saturday, M & I spent the day at the State Fair of Texas with the Girl Peas. This is the first time the Peas, J and M visited the State Fair. The day was a little chilly & drizzly, but we weathered the elements :-). We had a blast soaking in all of the sights & sounds and indulging in all of the Fair Foods: Fletcher's corny dogs, fried jambalaya, fried cookie dough, kraut balls, fried ding dongs, cotton candy and fried cheesecake. I may have missed a couple of things :-).
Also, this is the first time the Chinese Lantern Festival was part of the Fair this year. Quite an amazing sight during the day. After walking through the Lantern Festival, we visited the Museum of Nature & Science. Can't wait to see the Museum exhibits after relocating to the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
The last day of the Fair is October 21st. If you have the opportunity, check out the Fair and support the local economy.
