Zestfest 2008

Today, Robert and I went to a Salsa and Hot Sauce Gala called ZestFest. We tasted a variety of salsas and hot sauces, but the one that rocked my world was 'Lethal Ingestion'. I had a little drop of 'Lethal' on a tortilla chip.. One bite... Aye Chiwawa!!! My eyes teared up... the back of my neck sweating... That feeling lasted about 15 minutes. Man, that stuff was mucho caliente!! Robert chickened out. :-) He tried Black Mamba.. I believe that sauce was made from the same peppers in 'Lethal'.. So, the sauce was in the same ballpark as for hot... Anywho.. Robert had a better poker face than I.. He did not show any signs of OMG my mouth is on fire, or I was too busy worrying about my fire drill to notice Robert's reaction.... Maybe it's the latter of the two.. :-)

After sampling a plethora of salsas and sauces, we cruised on to Hooters for wings and football. Yes, Hooters... they have great wings and cold beverages... ;-)

So, if you are looking for a good, off the hook hot sauce.. try 'Lethal Ingestion' HA!!!!..
